Case Study: Slough Workers’ Educational Association

Slough WEA involves volunteers in a wide range of classroom-based and related roles to support delivery of its targeted provision.  This case study shows how providing structured and tailored support for volunteers, which enables them to shape their role in negotiation with the volunteer co-ordinator, has extended and enhanced the scope and effectiveness of Slough WEA’s targeted work, improving the experience of students in the classroom and strengthening the organisational activity that supports the learning and teaching.
