Using the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) within the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF)

The purpose of this report is to present to the Skills Funding Agency (the Agency) a snapshot picture of how providers are making use of the facility to offer the recognition of prior learning (RPL) within the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF).

The report gives a snapshot picture of how providers are making use of the facility to offer RPL within the QCF. The report also describes some of the issues facing providers and awarding organisations offering RPL and includes a number of recommendations of relevance to the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills and to the Skills Funding Agency.
