We have recently added new content to the Resources section of the website.
In the Curriculum Development section:
Use of webinars to upskill volunteers in a rural area – This case study, which describes a webinar programme, was developed and supported by West Berkshire Council’s Community Learning Service working in partnership with the Community Council for Berkshire (CCB). The webinars are part of a range of initiatives that contribute to the improvement of West Berkshire communities. The programme offers high quality web-based training to community workers and volunteers across a dispersed rural area.
Luton Adult Learning: Your Say, Your Way – This case study describes a programme offered by Luton Adult Learning that supported residents to take an active and informed part in a council community-led planning and budget allocation initiative.
In the Local Area Planning section:
Hampshire County Council (HCC) – The Growing Community Learning provision and increasing participation case study focuses on how, since 2010, HCC has planned major growth in community learning provision and enabled greater participation and impacts across the county. It also highlights the strategic imperatives that underpin the approach towards this growth.
In Measuring Impact and Social Value section:
Developed by Cheshire West and Chester Council, this case study (and other relevant documents) describes an approach to calculating value in ‘Pound Plus’ that demonstrates the impact on a local economy in addition to the actual learning delivered.
