Rob Denny

Head of Research

Rob joined Learning and Work Institute in September 2018 as Head of Research and is responsible for leading a programme of work on supported routes into employment and improving progression from low pay.

Prior to joining L&W, Rob worked as a higher education policy advisor at the Office for Students, responsible for project managed the National Student Survey. Rob has previously worked as a lecturer in research methods and methodology at Nottingham Trent University and Regent’s University London, teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.

He has also worked across several research roles in the not-for-profit sector, and brings significant experience in research design and the use of mixed methods in applied research. Rob has a PhD in Political Science and an MSc in Research Methods from Nottingham Trent University.
