Speakers include:

Judy Kirsh delivering an interactive session which will look at how to teach reading and writing to ESOL learners who have no, or very little, literacy in English.

Recently, she has been working with Learning Unlimited on various EIF projects. Judy has developed CPD modules for the British Council ESOL Nexus project and has also worked as a CELTA trainer.

We’ll also be joined by Dr Melanie Cooke of King’s College, London. Mel, a Lecturer in ESOL Education has been involved in work to explore the application of participatory pedagogy in ESOL and will share the insights of “Our Languages” project and some of the materials developed from this study.
