Learning and Work Institute today announced the appointment of Naomi Clayton as Director of Policy and Research. Naomi will hold overall responsibility for research, policy and development across L&W. Her promotion to the role follows five years in the organisation’s senior management team as Deputy Director.

Stephen Evans, Chief Executive of Learning and Work Institute, said:
Naomi has already made a huge impact on L&W as Deputy Director over the past five years, and I’m delighted to be welcoming her into her new role. She brings substantial experience in policy and research with specialisms in employment, skills and labour market disadvantage issues. As we prepare to launch our strategy for 2024-29, I look forward working with Naomi to further our vision of a fair and prosperous society where learning and work enable everyone to realise their potential.
Naomi Clayton said:
I’m delighted to be taking up the role of Director of Policy and Research. Having been with the organisation since 2019, I am proud to be part of an excellent, dedicated team working to develop evidence-based insights and solutions to the skills and employment challenges facing the UK. As I start my new role, I’m looking forward to leading the team as we introduce our new strategy and work to grow our impact.

Naomi’s appointment will be effective from 15 April 2024.
